People Management WorkshopA more in depth look at ‘Getting the right people on the bus’. Considering our recruitment, selection and induction practices based on our company culture and principles.

The key to unlocking an organisation’s potential to achieve maximum performance and efficiency is its people. Effective recruitment and selection is the first vital step in building a winning team. This practical course concentrates on an overview of those critical areas necessary for effective and efficient recruitment and selection.

To give those involved in the recruitment process knowledge, skills and specific tools to assist in legislative compliance and how to recruit and select for the ‘X Factor’.

By the end of this workshop participants will:

  • Demonstrate abilities to recruit fairly and consistently
  • Have the skills to meet best practice guidelines
  • Understand the different stages of recruitment
  • Be able to identify job requirements and produce a job description
  • Understand non-discriminatory wording on advertisements
  • Identify the importance of using Application Forms and insert questions
  • Have the knowledge and skills to produce relevant questions
  • Be able to produce a selection criteria matrix
  • Understand the importance of consistent documentation in the recruitment process
  • Have practical, hands on experience

Our Training Philosophy
The training method will be interactive, using a combination of information giving, discussion, practical exercises and syndicate activities. There will be a strong emphasis on active participation to ensure participants are able to relate the material to their own work situations. For adult learners small group activities often provide the most satisfying and non-threatening way of learning.

This session is suitable to all those who employ staff and are in some way responsible for their management. HR managers & advisors; line managers, senior management, business owners.

Your Trainer
Lyn Creasey is a Human Resource Consultant, Speaker & Trainer. After 20 years’ experience in the corporate environment, in 2002 Lyn established LYNC HR Ltd, a consultancy specialising in assisting in all aspects of People, Policy & Communication. She works extensively with clients initiating human resource policies and training managers and employees in the best practice translation of employment legislation. Lyn has spoken at numerous events both at home and abroad. Lyn is a skilled facilitator, certified as an NLP practitioner, a Fellow of the CIPD, a certified Coach and Master Practitioner in TetraMap, who has incorporated her skills & holistic philosophies and strategies into client workshops.
