Do you have a pile of ‘must read’ books by your bed that you never quite get round to looking at? With work, commuting, family responsibilities and more I completely understand that all those essential books can easily end up at the bottom of the priority list.
I recently discovered Philosophers Notes from Brian Johnson and think they are great. You get a 20 minute audio summary and a 6 page pdf file so can absorb a book whichever way works best for you. There are over 250 available in total and they cover classics on subjects such as business, positive thinking, health, self development, spirituality and more. If you prefer to watch and learn there are also many short
In the previous blog The Success Indicator one of the key things that successful people do is continually learn.. many people say they don’t have time for reading any more but these are a great way of cheating and absorbing new knowledge and ideas.
I love the fact these notes are great summaries of many of those classic business or self development books I’ve never quite got round to reading. I listen to them on train journeys, while I’m cooking and sometimes when I’m out for a walk or working on the computer. I have gone on to buy some of the books too as I really liked the summaries and wanted to find out more.
See the video below where Brian talks about why he started Philosophers Notes
Many of the books I mention in these blogs or ones in our Amazon Store are actually available as Philosophers Notes
